Twitter exposed to a data breach - yet again.

Twitter went on to apologize its clients stating that their personal information may have been compromised.

The clients got this message as an email as some billing information of the customer were stored in the cache of the browser. The data which could have been accessed by someone includes e mail addresses, phone numbers and the last 4 digits of the credit card number of the clients.

But Twitter added that, till now they have found no evidence to prove that data has been compromised.

There are many businesses which uses Twitter's advertising and analytics platforms. They would have been affected by this although no cases are reported yet.

Twitter made an announcement stating that they became aware of this on 20th May and they issue fixed the issue the moment they identified it. Twiiter sent the following email to the affected users.

"We're very sorry this happened. We recognize and appreciate the trust you place in us, and are committed to earning that trust every day."

The twitter users who doesn’t use the social media platform for business should not worry as they won’t get affected. This is not a positive sign for twitter as it was exposed to a data breach in 2018 as well. Back then it was an internal leak and the users had to change their passwords.
